Hi, my name is Fergus and I`m a male cockatiel. I am the normal grey coloring like the cockatiels you find living wild in Australia. I`m in a new foster home and settling in well. I like to shred my wicker toy and eat millet. I hold my pellets in my foot and eat them like the big parrots. If you would like to hear more about me please contact my adoption coordinator. Bye for now. Fergus.

In nature, cockatiels live in large flocks. A single bird in a cage spends much of his/her life being lonely because humans have things they must do that take them away. We therefore will only adopt a single cockatiel to a household if there is already at least one cockatiel living there. Otherwise, cockatiels must be adopted in groups of two or more.
