Hi, I`m Luna. I`m a sweet girl, not tame but definitely used to people. After my new foster mom caught me, I let her me pick me up and went easily into my new house. I like my new swing! I will step on a dowel when I`m out of my cage. I love to chew soft balsa items. If you clip an entire carrot stalk to my cage, I`ll reduce it to confetti pretty quickly! Same with broccoli or almost any other hard veggie. I`ll nibble greens as well. I eat avicakes & Zupreem small colored pellets and I love seeds, of course. I like being misted & will go in my bathtub while being misted. I like hanging cups in my cage filled with pieces of wood or small toys I can throw out of it. Twice I`ve laid an egg, those fell to the bottom of the cage & I didn`t care at all. I`m not interested! Might you have me join your forever flock, please?
In nature, parakeets (budgerigars) live in large flocks. A single bird in a cage spends much of his/her life being lonely because humans have things they must do that take them away. We therefore will only adopt a single parakeet to a household if there is already at least one parakeet living there. Otherwise, parakeets must be adopted in groups of two or more.
