Hi, I`m Jesse. I was found in a backyard in Sacramento and turned over to Mickaboo to give me the shelter I needed. Of course, the age posted is a pure guess since I can`t tell you! I enjoy hearing music, and I make pleasant sounds. I love chirping sweetly at the mirror and I`m looking forward to the company of other birds when my quarantine period is finally over. I don`t step up, but I am interested in watching the people and pets around me. All in all, I`ve landed in a happy place! I still get scared, though, when a hand enters my cage and moves in my direction, but give me time and love and I know I`d be a perfect forever bird. Don`t you think so?

In nature, parakeets (budgerigars) live in large flocks. A single bird in a cage spends much of his/her life being lonely because humans have things they must do that take them away. We therefore will only adopt a single parakeet to a household if there is already at least one parakeet living there. Otherwise, parakeets must be adopted in groups of two or more.
