Hi, I`m Dasher, the cute little green stud-muffin boy budgie in front. I am currently hanging out with Cupid, Donner, and Comet. My pals and I came to Mickaboo together from an aviary, not sure how we`re all related, but we get along well together and we`re very color-coordinated! For coming from an aviary, we are surprisingly good-natured little budgies! Of couse, we`re not happy about being grabbed and moved in small cages, we are not frantically scared of people, and we don`t even bite very hard - sort of "more in sorrow than in anger" bites. Most of us are under a year old or just over a year old. Did you know that young budgies are very easy to tame? All it takes is patience and millet. It`s also very possible to teach young budgies to talk (although Mickaboo makes NO promises that a particular bird will want to learn how!). How about one of us - or even all four of us - for YOUR forever flock?

In nature, parakeets (budgerigars) live in large flocks. A single bird in a cage spends much of his/her life being lonely because humans have things they must do that take them away. We therefore will only adopt a single parakeet to a household if there is already at least one parakeet living there. Otherwise, parakeets must be adopted in groups of two or more.
