Hello, I`m Cupid, the middle bird in this budgie team photo. I am a young lady, hanging out here with my buds Dasher and Donner. We came to Mickaboo in September 2020 via a huge aviary rescue. We`re all related, although how we`re related is a mystery - maybe we`re siblings or maybe Dasher`s my dad? Who knows!?

My foster mom says I keep getting "almost-tame." She works with me but then gets busy and our relationship lapses...but I always comes back when she start giving me attention again! I`m on the shyer side but love to play with toys and will definitely hop on a hand for millet!

Check out my feature with Penelope in Mickaboo`s May 2021 Virtual Adoption Fair: Wouldn`t I be a great addition to your forever home? We all get along very well together, so if you`re looking for a single girl, or a feisty trio, we`re right here waiting for our forever homes!

In nature, parakeets (budgerigars) live in large flocks. A single bird in a cage spends much of his/her life being lonely because humans have things they must do that take them away. We therefore will only adopt a single parakeet to a household if there is already at least one parakeet living there. Otherwise, parakeets must be adopted in groups of two or more.
