Hello! I`m Chile. I`m a baby yellow baby budgie with a lavender cere because too young to know what sex I am! who was born and has lived my life in an aviary with my extended family. I`m hanging in my new foster home with my buddy Ecuador. We are buds and will sit on the same perch together but we not bonded and can be adopted separately. I am kinda flighty and a little fearful of people, but I don`t go totally crazy like some birds do if my foster mom is working with me or the cage. I am doing pretty well considering I`m so young and have not had much people experience. I will most likely settle in more with time. My favorite thing to do seems to be just to hang off the cage bars. I`m here, I`m ready, and I`m waiting to join YOUR forever flock!

In nature, parakeets (budgerigars) live in large flocks. A single bird in a cage spends much of his/her life being lonely because humans have things they must do that take them away. We therefore will only adopt a single parakeet to a household if there is already at least one parakeet living there. Otherwise, parakeets must be adopted in groups of two or more.
